This mural is a reflection of Mountain View School's vision statement - Kia puawai me te maia, thrive with confidence. The mural depicts three outlooks of Mountain View School's unique location, beginning with the moana, ascending up onto the volcanic rock and finally looking towards the maunga. These images help to embody the message that thriving with confidence in in part about understanding your identity and place or whenua.

The expansive mural spans a 26m wire fence and was a brilliant way to add colour, interest and meaning in an otherwise dull and somewhat unattractive space.
